If they are Muslim - they submit to Islam and in that submission their allegiance is to Islam - not Australia. So as you say, they may be "innocent" , but they are not Australian and will never be Australian or in this case French.
As for innocence their silence in the face of countless atrocities is their complicity. Don't tell me you don't know if your brother or son is going bonkers.
