Fair enough. Though if it's all the same I think I'll let go of my contempt for him when his cheer squad let go of their man-crush.
To your point though, I'm not sure you're right. I think voters are even more detached and punitive now as three years ago, and will kick out a government they see as dysfunctional just as readily as they did then. As (almost) always, it will be the government that loses voters rather than the opposition winning.
