I got a response from Mike regarding my query on A-Doubles, which aren't allowed in Victoria except for some restricted Northern routes. They are talking to VicRoads and theres potential for them to open up more routes for A-Doubles (Payload 60t) in Victoria.
NAG are "future proofing" this by making the weighbridge capable of accepting this configuration if VicRoads gives the green light to more routes. Thinking ahead, great work.......
Just for info, Ford got an exemption years ago to have 3 trailer road trains move between Broadmeadows and Geelong. Although lighter than normal roadtrains, they were accepted and allowed on specific direct routes.
Maybe a great selling point for NAG if it gets approved, as it lessens the transport cost, where it would normally take 1.5 trucks to do the same job.
"NAG, the thinking outside the box" company........
