The OTT thing is possible - although personally I would say its an outside stretch.

Before anyone would look at OTT as an option, they would presumably want to see a proven, working, useful product which people will want to use.

Perhaps it will be third time lucky but thus far the market has been told all about how great CORONA is.. paying customers signed, huge saving for companies etc. But it appear to have stalled. Back to the drawing board for GTS and Cloud after actual feedback from the people that actually need to be interested (potential users of the system).

Similar experience with WorldPhone imo, product developed, worked, but the users don't seem to have really been drawn to it. First the market was told the downloads were going nuts, 'double million' announced, projected annual revenue run rate announced weekly and billed as going really well* . Then the pitch changed tact as well, this was just one element of a broader suite of apps, for companies to help manage their employees call costs. More apps would come, to supplement and support it.

So then comes OTT licensing.. I think best case is they sign something slightly more than an MOU, with an agreement to develop something or licence some IP to a bigger company. Then potentially in time, something gets rolled out.

Every day this draws out though, the chances get slimer imo because OTT is a threat - until the telco's just charge for data.. at which point, its no threat. They would of course encourage usage (so customers use more data) but will likely let the retail market fight each other to death than take part themselves.

Worst case, is this is the third case of great product - looking for a customer but it turns out there just wasn't a demand or problem that needed fixing.

All just my opinion and observation so far. Could be third time lucky, or perhaps its that old saying.. the definition of insanity is what?
