No it has not been a part of Australian society and nor is there any evidence to suggest that allowing more muslims in will increase terrorism. I'd be willing to bet that other factors such as segregation or discrimination will inspire radicalism not immigration
If the parents were to blame Islam I definitely wouldn't blame them, but it doesn't mean that they are right...
PS I have wondered, how is a customs officer to determine whether someone is a muslim or not?
