Jessie1, thus far even French security authorities arresting everyone associated in some way or other with Mohammed Bouhlel have NOT established:

1. That he was a practising Muslim honouring the Islamic Faith.
2. ISIS/Daesh had any direct contact whatsoever with him.
3. That he did anything other than use reference to Islam as a self-serving, pitiful excuse for his massacre of hundreds of innocent people celebrating Bastille Day.
4. That 1.6 billion other Muslims influenced his decision to slaughter so many innocent people.

As to whether or not he was a "nutjob" as you asserted; reports thus far indicate that's exactly what his family and his neighbours regarded him as. This supports the proposition that rather than being an indictment of ALL Muslims that the Nice atrocity is an indictment of France's security and criminal justice systems as well as its mental health systems.

All of which begs the question as to WHY self-serving, opportunistic people including Andrew Bolt, Sonia Kruger and Pauline Hanson have gone off half-cocked and tarred ALL Muslims with the same putrid brush.
