That makes sense UB, keep it wet so it doesn't start oxidising in the air. Can't find the link I found last night about NSW dredge guidelines but it was in relation to their tunnelling project. The 5 hr limit might not apply to Vic but the quicker they can get it underwater at Nagambie the happier they would all be you would think.

The NAG pits are Limestone and the water is alkaline, I dare say, there would be some Neutralising Capacity that would eliminate any ASS to a certain extent.
