Mouse: He will be paid that salary, regardless of if they are in construction and producing for the next 17+ years. I suspect he will retire once this project is off the ground (certainly within 10 years), or end up on the Board at TRR taking a nominal fee and helping direct proceedings.
You seriously think he's not the person most keen to get this off the ground as soon as possible?
Imagine the weight on his shoulders right now. He's dealing with many multinational companies, the government, having the expectations of thousands of impatient investors breathing down his neck, and dealing in hundreds of millions of dollars.
I don't think anyone with a conscience could pull that ruse off, unless he has zero morals, a clueless mushroom management team not questioning why things are taking so long (or are all in on it), and is able to dupe countless parties at the same time (not that it wouldn't be impossible).
I hope to *&(< I'm right. What I have riding on this, will set me up totally, for the rest of my life. Or it will be one hell of an expensive poor investment decision!
This is an enormous project. It is going to take a (frustratingly) long time to get it going.
A reminder of a typical timeframe to get mines going (not to mention a refinery on top of that):
We are coming towards the end of the orphan period, after our spike above 90c (ludicrous spike tbh, not even based on Mt. Peake - zinc at Manburrum wasn't it?). Or do we count the $0.34 sp as the spike, when Mt. Peake was starting to really come to the fore? It's all just a rough indicator, let's face it.
The DFS was completed in July 2015. The uncomfortable truth of the matter for many, is they don't want to wait all those orphan years. Institutional investment before the end of the year, would be excellent. It may well take longer. I hope we're pleasantly surprised.
If you went by that graphic alone, it would put our full value at around $1.40.
A reminder:
May 2016 - Breakaway Report: We revise our base case valuation to A$0.80/share
Jan 2016 - VSA Research: We are initiating coverage with a BUY recommendation and target price of A$0.73/sh.
Dec 2015 - Hardman & Co commodities price estimates, once financed and permitted, the
project supports a Fair Market Value for 100% of the project, not including tax
or interest, of A$4.63/sh on a fully diluted issue of 723m shares.
I think the latter is a tad optimistic. Perhaps more along the lines of an average between the above 3.
I'd be mightily happy with $2+ in 2 years time. Even more happy if finance was arranged and we got bought out.
I'm as impatient as the worst of you here, but try to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.
That's my bored 2c worth, not that anyone asked for it!
