This is an important point, but depending on your investment strategy.

First, that all holders believe AJX has massive potential is a given - the company is currently loss making yet has a MC over $200 mil. You simply wouldn't hold if you didn't believe in the potential.

However, some here we could describe as 'active' and some as 'passive'. The passive investors will keep an eye on their investment but otherwise won't sell or 'do the trade' unless something big and obvious is occuring. Using your comments here I would classify yourself as in the passive group, melastcracker - at least for this stock anyway.

The 'active' investors, accepting of the CGT implications and other risks involved, will take opportunities to sell high and re-enter lower so as to increase their holdings without outlaying more cash whenever feasible. Similarly if they don't believe the SP will move much in coming months they may well move their cash somewhere else temporarily.

Active investors will not be so much concerned that AJX may miss a target (as I said, we all believe in the LT potential) as much as see an opportunity. Because lets face it, if any company misses a target the SP will take a hit. If you exit before this occurs and re-enter at a lower price you have more stock and can profit more from the LT potential! Great! No better way to show your belief in a company than holding more shares - and to do that sometimes it is actually better to sell, counterintuitive as that may sound.

But lets not talk about the merits of investment strategies, lets focus on the Company! As an active investor myself I come to HC for the occasional glint of wisdom hidden in the posts regarding a companies future and its SP movements. Frustratingly for me, only becasuse I am active, AJX thread content is full of discussion that is more about personal investment strategies (ie statements on preference for passive vs active investment), rather than the multitude of factors that are facing the company that will get down to the guts of what is going to happen ST MT and LT. I do understand that passive investors won't care as much about this.

Since there are so many here that follow the AJX announcements closely, what is everyone's opinion on AJX meeting its previous targets for the coming reporting period? Does anyone think they will outperform? The market seems to be saying underperform at the moment. Who agrees with the market? I'm particularly interested in discussion that is backed by figures that have been released to us over the last six months via announcements.

For my part I will share my analysis that I plan to perform over the weekend.
