Its not a matter of letting them walk in.
They made a deal with COP and COP are happy with the deal.
Its after all only a change of ownership.
Why posters don't get that is a mystery.
It does not harm FAR or CAIRN as they still retain their percentages.
The oil is still there as it was before.
The share is the same except FAR and CAIRN have a new partner.
I honestly cannot remember when companies took up their pre-emption when dealt with this situation.
Let me know if you know when this has happened.
Besides FAR will not have the money to pre-empt and CAIRN would be happy with their 40%
I really do not know why everybody is so upset or indignant when the status quo remains exactly the same as before.
Ridiculous to the extreme.
