Mustpow, that is garbage and you should know it. The warden will make a ruling against those that just hold an exploration tenement on the land, whether they are mining elsewhere or not. Only Altura's objection will carry any weight, and then only over areas they are using/going to use.
The actual permit to take and use water is from a different department under the water act.
The miscellaneous license is just to look for viable water for a mining operation and none of the exploration companies have a hope in hell of stopping it. They are just wasting their own shareholders money by doing so.
This has been tested before and there are plenty of cases where the application to look for water has been approved, even over neighbours Mining licences.

Please come up with ONE example of where the warden found against the issuing of miscellaneous license to look for water for mining, by an exploration permit holder. You can't because they don't exist.
