Malaysia started hating Australia when John Howard came out saying we may do pre-emptive counter-terrorism strikes in South East Asia after September 11.

"Cowboy" howard and Australia became the constant target of political rhetoric.

Chinese

Malaysia segregates societal benefits and deliberately descriminates against the local Chinese population. This ranges from school to employment to general opporeunites in society.

They hate the chinese.

Malaysia

Currently the largest fund in Malaysia is under investigation by the US government for corruption which has embroilled goldman sachs.

Funny story is when the last prime ministers Mongolian mistress blew up. Unfortunately they used army c4 explosives... which can only be obtained by ... the army...

Australian Companies

We can not bribe legally. Malaysia from my experience of having been to and worked in almost every country in Asia is the most corrupt.

Lynas is a prime example. Now people can argue potential radioactivity which was garbage but it does not matter. The locals will work out a way to extract value.

Now that they succeeded once an Australian company going in there is just fresh meat.

You and your staff have 0 experience in setting up a plant in Malaysia. I hope this is a nice to look at and not serious.

People who hadon't more experience and government support (Lynas) failed. Lynas also had much bigger balance sheets at the time than PLS.

I see Malaysia as terribly misguided thinking by Ken.
