I'm serious, where does it say that it is compulsory?
I received a single A4 sheet in the mail this week from ABofS addressed as "To the Resident".
No one from ABofS has called here to drop off a census form or asked if I want one?
The letter or A4 sheet says and I quote:
"Dear Resident,
Please complete the Census on Tuesday, 9 August 2016." [their bold]
It then gives instructions on how to go online to do it and under those diagrams it states:
"If you can't go online please call 1300 820 275 to request a paper form."
No where does it say it is compulsory nini?
I see the word "please" used twice but no "you must do this or else" anywhere?
Are they relying on us residents' knowledge of the previous Census legal obligations?
I certainly won't be going online and filling it out.
If they want it done they'll have to do more than ask me in a letter to a resident "Please complete the Census..." especially when they failed to carry out their end of the lawful privacy obligations for the Last census five years ago!
I certainly will not put myself out of pocket by ringing a 1300 number.
