Be careful when you stray too far from the puer, and into the senex.
Because your statement is only valid if the carrying value of the technology and family of patents (I assume you meant that, and not "patients"), as reflected in the financial statements, are correct.
And, the thing about accounting standards - especially when the apply to intangible items - is that they almost always require the use of a range of assumptions (some reliable and some far less reliable), the result being that they seldom result in financial answers that are 100% accurate all of the time.
Have you read the notes to the accounts to understand how those values were derived, and what assumptions under-pin them?
