OXY, once again context needed. Rudd was non aligned and therefore
had enemies within. He could not literally be a Psycho given they actually made him PM of Australia second time round. I mean if they really thought he was a psycho and they then put him back in the top job again it would make them nuts. Its political factions and enmity at play. Politicians use over the top hyperbole to taint those they disagree with. Same applies to Abbott and also Turnbull.
Political considerations are why imo Rudd is being knocked back, probably pandering to those conservatives that don’t ever want to concede anything to the left of politics.
