I'll ask again where in the world has the situation you describe occurred..Ireland? The US? Spain? Japan? Iceland? Greece? Where is the precedent? Why would all the "muppets" be unemployed..I'm sure most of them "muppets" will still be working in jobs they are in today or find something else.
