Many of these things are a moving target.
3. Depend if you are set up for oxide or sulphide how much there is etc sometimes high grade oxide is a pain in the neck. Sometimes sulphides are locked up and difficult to recover etc. super gene oxide ores are usually high grade easy to liberate free digging and free milling, good cheap fast. Some high grade sulphides mill well and float and recover well as well i.e. Kambalda.
Tailings would usually drop recoveries so they would be done as a batch later
Blending ore high and low is best used to improve the mine plan and overall gold production, very complex issues so no time to go into detail.
