Sorry for the continuous stream of off topic negative comments lately but... IMO when I think about solar roads... it is only a good idea on the most superficial of levels.

Would it not be much wiser, if you wanted LED roads to install some lights into the ground, and put the solar panels somewhere higher up, like on a roof or at least somewhere that isn't covered by cars?

IMO some kind of glow in the dark road paint that absorbs light during the day would be a better idea
