Obviously your definition of Deity or divine is flawed
You say this describes both the Father and Son but one is God and the other is only the Son of God
To me Deity or Devine means that you are God as in God the Father and God the Son.
Both are God , one the Father and one the Son
Jesus says that the Father and he are one
Col 1:16 goes on to explain what it means to be the firstborn of all creation. It means you are the creator not created
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
