Your logic is a tad illogical imo. The rise of Turnbull gave the govt a slim win instead of a potential wipeout. Polls reflect the position at the time the poll was taken.

Your logic falls down because coalition govt’s don’t always win elections whether Federal or State. Just be honest and accept the polls are not favourable to the govt at the moment instead of playing politically biassed spin.
