compulsory acquisition can not occur until the buyer can get 90% of the stock in a company. But in my opinion, it will be game over if management give a sell recommendation and there is no higher bid (always pays to hang back a bit in case a bigger bid is forthcoming).
Not sure how workable it would be to ignore management and the large holders if they are selling. if management state don't sell, then the smaller shareholders could have a leg to stand on.
Don't know how successful a pledge to not sell will be when HC posters are shrouded in anonymity?
