Great post mate. I completed my undergrad in biotechnology and the potential for it in the coming years is definitely very exciting. I do feel, however, caution should be exercised to avoid falling in love with an idea a company is claiming as most of these bio companies will allege to have the next 'cure for cancer' and not make it past the initial clinical trials or gain the regulatory approvals for a marketable product/service.
That being said, finding an upcoming biotech company that successfully makes it through its individual milestones can be a very lucrative ride (COH, CSL etc)
