I have sent a couple of very impolite emails to Stephen Carter. He replied to the first one in part
quote Good afternoon I do understand your position but as you are aware when you purchase options they have a finite life, they are a risk investment and as such may result in a loss if they are not "in the money" but can provide you with potential leverage if they are "in the money"
Whilst I am currently unable to deal with your concerns directly I would like to point you to the following ASX release of the 28/3/03, in particular the section on Options. I appreciate that you probably wish for a more definitive reply but I am sure that you also understand that any announcement that we make must be made to all shareholders via the appropriate Channels
The comment about the Board being conscious of the support is exactly what it says we are fully aware of the support option holders have given the company and this will be considered when any decision is made. This decision cannot be made at this point in time and once the Board is able to inform the share and option holders of the path forward we will. Unquote
I am sure others have received similar responses - all designed to keep us guessing but nothing to really pin your hopes on. It it unclear to me whether this ann closes the issue or not.
As I said I have sent a couple of emails already indicating that Solbec's lack of information over the last year has been appalling - perhaps somebody else would like to send one as well? The address is [email protected]
