Increasingly I give little weight to what someone offers as his "undying belief" .... unless we have shared a bottle or two, or sometimes even three bottles. (These are of course my personal favourites !)
Possibly not "double blind", but early on in attempting to collect genuine research data, it became clear that alcohol in it's various vehicles was a very pleasant way of eliciting unedited material. "Double blind" was often cited as a consequence of such data gathering ... but by then the data was already in.
