Probably worth having a look at Fonterra more closely and its various domestic and export private labels as well as its main market being its commodity products and commodity trading platform and this doesn't include other peripheral businesses they get involved in. Not sure where the LIA's have gone these days but they were important in the past. yes, they have made mistakes, like Argentina and have a presence in China with a similar approach as well. All of these generate revenue for Fonterra above and beyond just their consumer products.
Anyway that is a side issue as this is more about MGC and what needs to be done to fix it and more importantly to help the poor dairy farmer/suppliers so they all manage to survive for another generation.
