Great news re IND application - I particularly like the fact that Cantrixil has received strong interest from clinicians - hopefully this means that if we do get IND that the trials will progress quite quickly.

Stayso - ASX announcements are signed off by the board not the CEO - for we know JG may want to make more announcements but can't - not saying that is the case but I'm not going to hold it against him - provided he keeps his word re timeframes I'll be happy. The rest is in the hands of the science and our great team of scientists.

The shorting in my view has nothing to do with making a few pips to the downside - why on earth would you short when the maximum profit is 10 cents whereas going long could make up to $1. In my view the shorts are just trying to shake the weak hands out - I'm sure there's plenty of institutions hiding behind NAB nominees. I think we are better off making sure that us little guys hold over 25% of the stock so we can block a takeover via a scheme of arrangement (this requires 75% of the shareholders vote) if the offer is too low.

If round one of the trials are successful then I would think there's going to be plenty of interest in NRT - I would think it would only be a matter of time that a takeover offer was made. Carmine an old Eli Lily executive is already on the board so whats to say he's not keeping an eye on things for outside interests!

Rusty glad to see you held - sorry to hear about your mum - I lost my Mum last year - toughest thing that's ever happened to me - she bought my first shares for me back in September 1987 in my last term of school - some gold speccy - needless to say it got smashed the following month on Black Monday but I was hooked - Mum never made that mistake again - she started buying bank shares from the late 80's onwards and kept working as a nurse until she was 70 (she was a child of the depression) to make sure her four children would be set up when she was gone (she held onto those bank shares). I'd always call her every weekend and invariably we'd end up talking about stocks - I sure as hell miss those conversations now. Funnily enough since she's gone I've made more on stocks (in spite of NRT) then in the previous 30 years (ironically thanks to another gold stock) - I'd like to think she's still looking after me - she never let me down.

    IMHO/GLTA
