Let's wait and see what the board has to say and what value KPMG gives HDR for the "final analysis". But I have to disagree with one thing you keep intimating .. that is that HDR was in desparate circumstances and 'had to be sold. Why so??? If it is then we haven't been told that's the case .. quite the opposite...the cash roling in and high oil prices, Potter said we were well funded, there was heaps of cash in the bank, significant discoveries had been made in Uganda etc etc. I don't see a company on the brink of collapse .. in fact TLW see a company worth $1.47 billion!!!!!!!!!
It is true that HDR would have struggled to fund all its committments going ahead for a period of time while Chinguietti was fixed or Tevet tied in, but as I repeated suggested over the last 6-9 months we didn't need to take on all the new projects and could have easily sold some of them or sold down some equity in Mauritania like Ted did. Instead Simon gambled with our company's future taking on more and more. Then he has to sell the company to get us out of the mess. Sorry but I'm not impressed after having been involved with this company for over 6 years that SP stuffs it up in his short time here then flogs us off.
