I know its a bit of nitpicking here. But FAR has never ever said they are selling.
They have used terms like being vulnerable, even expressed the opinion that they might not exist before this goes to production. They further stated that in the absence of a T/O they will continue towards production. You may think this is all the same, but to go out in the market at this time to sell was never their intention unlike COP.
FAR's intention is to capitalize on this find, the same as CNE without aiming for one outcome or another in the short term.
As to having failed the SHs if they don't P/E is quite a statement. They might not be able to pull it off, but it would not for lack of trying. I would not call this a failure. The oil space still is not healthy yet and all big oilers are still suffering. To P/E with PE is also fraught with problems. We have to trust our management somewhat.
