ill be interesting to see what the financials disclose. their release delayed and one would have assumed that a dividend recommendation would have been made (wonder if they will change it now) - but I also assume that as the financials are audited that the auditor may not have signed off them pending the court ruling. I could be wrong but the ruling is obviously an event after balance date that may have a material impact on the company. if the financials were already audited I guess they may have to be resubmitted for audit to include the event after balance date.
"Events after the reporting date are those events, favourable and
unfavourable, that occur between the reporting date and the
date when the financial report is authorised for issue" the two types of events are:
"
(a) those that provide evidence of conditions that existed
at the reporting date (adjusting events after the
reporting date); and
(b) those that are indicative of conditions that arose after
the reporting date (non-adjusting events after the
reporting date)."
guess that the operative words here are "when the financial report is authorised for issue". IMO not authorised until 25/08/16 so therefore the court ruling may need to be incorporated - but not being an auditor I could be wrong.
