For those that are wondering how far that is. 1 light year is about 9.5 trillion kms.
The light you see from orions stars left about a year and a half ago
(human perpespective) travelling at 300,000 km per second.
Our galaxy is 100,000 light years across. So Orions stars are really pretty close, it just depends on your perspective.
