HC is an interesting place.. will be curious to see if/how it changes if/when it changes hands.

Its a great one-stop tool, especially for a quick perusal of less researched micro's. And great historical sentiment barometer, nice to be able to quickly scan back previous discussion, price history (at announcement times etc) and obviously the best ones .. a great FA and no posters with a tiny EV - or as @minoil mentioned, a few beachcombers lone posts asking if anyone home.

Some of the specialist posters whether in geology, agriculture, dairy, financials, retail and many more who are willing to freely share their knowledge and opinion is absolutely invaluable.  They are unfortunately rarely appreciated or recognised but do make the place worth returning to.

Been a great resource for me personally but has taken 12+ month to come to a view of who's who. Have only ever put two people on ignore, one since suspended and a second just annoyed me and didn't seem to own any stocks.. reason being that HC is a great indicator of the Hype/Downramp ratio for a given stock.  Only relevant for the small caps and far from ideal but the only retail sentiment indicator I'm aware of.  Sifting through the pumpers, pushers or annoyed stale holders helps to provide a more fuller picture of those involved in a stock.

The STT, Brains Trust and Weekly Shell threads are like no other.. Individual ticker stocks are great but these three are by far the most frequented and valuable to me personally.

Also head straight to the biggest looser thread each time I come online.   Sometimes a good initial place to start looking for a bargain, other times a sure fire way to ruin.
