Hi @mirren, been digesting your post and given my circumstances understand completely where you are coming from. In my situation the roles are somewhat reversed where I'm trying to keep my head above water whilst at the same time trying to make sure my daughters are being provided for. I've had to take a 50% pay cut to be able to bring some income in. 2/3 of my income is going to my daughters for school, expenses etc and after I pay for my necessities like rent, fuel etc, I'm left with about $200 a month for groceries and spending money for when the kids are with me. Still, the ex isn't happy and wants to go to the family court to fight for more whilst living rent free in her parents 10 bedroom mansion whilst managing her father's 12 storey apartment block.
