A green politician blamed the LNP 18 months ago for suicides which was way out of line. If they were so worried about gays committing suicide 18 months ago, why are they prepared to wait 3 years now? Wouldn't it be a matter of urgency if we are led to believe the government not ruling in favour of gay marriage is causing suicides? I find that hypocritical if they use the cost of a plebiscite as one of the reasons for not having one. Surely if they think the people will vote in favour of it (which they tell us all the time), time of the essence and they would want this ASAP regardless of what it costs.
