I've never "gone 4 wheel driving for fun" but I've done a bit.
I even did a 4x4 accreditation course at Darwin Uni $60.
Common sense and the bloke running the course collided, doesn't matter what car you have ,if you're in a spot where you need 4x4 you drive it like you stole it!
