Thank you. I am not here to try argue or cause a stir, but to try understand. I see your point, honestly I do, but why would COP pass up an opportunity to make more money by having some special deal with WPL.

Again I am thinking from my perspective, but I want money (speaking as COP). Pure and simple. Sidelining big players only cost them and COP has shareholders and if they found out that a back door deal was done that lost them millions, I bet they will not be happy. And all COP had to do was drop a hint that WPL was interested to the other parties and let the fight begin. I understand that bullant thinks it is a sweetheart deal, but I just can't see that.

I have taken on board what you say about the pre-emption swoop, but that is a gamble in its own right, is it not, because little FAR can then set a much higher price or worse, not sell at all, or find a more cooperative buyer, leaving big sister very thirsty indeed and plucking her own rose.

I guess we shall wait and see what happens. No point worrying about it, I have no input and they wilol do what they want.
