I own KZL and they are by the way my best performer. Nevertheless I am always disappointed when free 'incentive' options are issued to directors at UNDER the current market price. This costs the company money and dilutes the stock. Simply a pay rise. The directors are usually very well off already, often multi-millionaires if you add up their owned stock, and many of them are directors of several companies.
CUO, ZFX(also well up) to name a couple I know of, also do the same. There is no way the shareholders can vote it out either as the directors vote for each other (not themselves, that would be wrong).
I think free options should be at well above the current market price. This would make them a true incentive.
That being said, I love this stock.
