If you look at all the reality shows _ Masterchef, X factor etc - all the contestants are always on the verge of an emotional breakdown, are encouraged to define themselves by some personal tragedy - my 96 year old auntie died 4 years ago and I still haven't recovered - , burst into tears (the men as well) at the slightest hint of a setback and present as utterly helpless individuals - the favourite comment seems to be "it's a bit scary!".
I'm sure that this is all scripted and intended as behaviour modelling.
So many people have signed up for the total moral capitulation of the nation - they can't all be dupes.
Tough times coming for sure.
