Certain funds and groups have mandates to invest in only ASX 50/100/200/300 listed companies. For instance in September the rebalances are announced 2 weeks prior to the date of rebalancing. A certain fund may know that the market cap of a company they are holding will not make it into the next grouping of ASX 300 companies thus deciding to sell (front run) before it is announced to the broader market. Not sure if this is the case here but the MC is pretty much the lowest in the 300 from what I have checked.

The talk of not being able to be shorted is not true if they are out of the 300, but it is much harder to get stock to short when they are out.

I did hear it's looking like you said, out of the ASX 300.

What do you think in your opinion will happen to the share price if booted out of ASX 300?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, for the CEO or other directors to buy now on the market now that news has been released, does the board need to approve for them to buy on the market now ?
