If the test work on the technologies are successful then it opens up a lot of doors in regards to raising the capital to build a plant, including BHP money. BHP are most likely to make a move on APG sooner rather than latter once they have confirmation that the technologies they are interested in work etc. How long this process takes is anyone’s guess.
I think there is a good chance APG will spin off the China gold play into an separate entity at some stage, with APG shareholder being given shares or the opportunity to take up some shares.
I agree APG would have a lot more scope for blue skies if BHP stood off but I really do not believe that will happen. But if other mining companies become involved in the bidding process things could be very interesting indeed.Ready for lift off
