Certainly is not bad timing for these strategic investors. Potash prices have pulled back a long way since the start of the decade, as has the value of all these projects. But we do know that potassium is a bit like oil and gas. It pretty much gets consumed in the agricultural cycle, even if some of it is returned via composting of waste food and peeing on citrus trees etc.
At some stage there will be a cyclical high again - maybe not to the same extent as the last one, but the cashflow will be superb, and it might be a good time to take multi bagger profits for the very patient.
