The quiet little county of Wayne, Utah, has been subjected to an as yet unknown phenomenon.

In a place which rearely sees rain, they were this morning showered with a strange mud like substance (very heavy) and accompanied with what appears to be traces of oil.

Local resident, Phil McCrakin described what he saw while dining at Stans Burger Shack, earlier today...

"It war amayzin...thys mud just caym down in liyke big blobs of jello.

I sayd to Stayn; Hey Stayn, it looks liyke big blobs of jello.

Weyl, yooo knooow, the layst time I saw anaythin like this was whayn I was just a liddulun, hepen maa old mayn out on them theyr riygs you can see waay in the distaynce!

The stuff that caym down heyr today looks a lot liyke that old drillen muyd stuff thayt would shower us from tiyme to tiyme whayn we hiyt the really biyg stuff!"

The local Sherif would not confirm reports the "phenomenon" was the actually the result of a "mud shower" resulting from a "blow out" in an exploration well currently being drilled some 77 miles away.



When asked to comment, the company remained tight lip...only saying "it would make an announcement later in the day".

The mud, which is heavy, sticky, smelly and oily have covered the entire town.

"You aaall shud see maa sheyts...thay are brown and smelly" explained Merl, a local of 85 years. "It remiyends me of the good old days, when everyone had to put up with smelly brown sheyts...kind of makes ne feeyl all warm insidyed!

Investigations were continuing.
