Hi Tony and Marty (and everyone else here). I've spoken to you both a few times in the past and just want to thank you, and everyone else, for your great posts; I've learnt a lot about not only Tsn but the Indian banking system as well.
I'm a lover of ancient history and one of my favorite subjects is the rise and fall of wealth and money. The debt based banking system all started in Sumer (anient Iraq) and from then on, without fail, civilizations have always faltered when they've become saddled with too much debt - at least, that's what's always happened up till now. What I like here is, we're not at the end of an era, we're at the start.
What I also find interesting is that India is part of the brics alliance. With the acceptance of China's renminbi last year - as a world currency by the IMF - I believe other countries - with oil based currencies such as the American dollar - are beginning to get worried. Oil is losing its appeal and a large amount of the world's wealth is heading East. By streamlining the Indian banking system - as well as strengthening its ties with China - President Modi is putting his country into a very interesting political and financial position. If the American dollar takes a dive, like many believe it will, then it will almost certainly be the brics alliance - and its currencies - that take the petro-dollar's place. It's my belef that whatever market cap you put on India's banking system in the coming years, multply that by about four if the American dollar faulters.
Anyway, to cut a long rant short, I just want you all to know that I'm with you and sighing about the potential that TSN, or any other company involved in the Indian banking system, has. Bought another small parcel recently, with a little cash left for the announced that states, we've just aquired 100% of TSI.
