I think the fact that TV2U was forced into an additional announcement speaks for itself. The original announcement was weak as it lacked clarity and allowed people to fill in the gaps with either internet sourced content, theories, or assumptions.

The role of media communications is and should always be to create an informed outcome that leads to a valid set of expectations and assumptions in the minds of investors. While we can criticise anyone trying to piece together the story, IMO TV2U needs to learn how to professionally communicate such that it does not leave the door open to confusion, wrong interpretation, doubt or false expectations.

In my opinion that is what is needed to reduce the noise in this HC forum. My only comment on this new announcement is the original $1 million contribution to the Head-end upgrade is not the full amount, as I expected it would not be. The new announcement indicates the amount will be in excess of $1 million and the client will pay for that upgrade upfront.

Typical Head-Ends cost up to $3 million to establish so the upgrade may land closer to $2 million IMO given it was book valued at $300K less than a year ago. The client will pay for this or walk away if it cannot satisfy that contractual clause if I understand the 2 announcements and the email tabled on HC by Tom yesterday.

I would imagine TV2U would table a term sheet to the client with the list of hardware, software upgrades and licences, plus the consulting costs for doing the work on the Head-End, and get a signoff and the payment for that anticipated work. If that occurs and the upgrade remains the property of TV2U then everyone who is a shareholder benefits from having an enhanced asset IMO.

Lets just sit back and watch what happens next.
