Hi WN, so if I am getting the gist of your post correctly, the Noonkanbah mob have kept their heritage and way of life as a main focus, whilst perhaps other mobs have moved into towns etc and now life a different life? As such their links to the land are weak and perhaps their views greatly differ to the Noonkanbah's.

In regards to your statement about their best prospect being a driver of earth moving equipment, for many whites in Australia that is possibly the best career they may ever achieve too.
