Everything mentioned in this presentation is available, and has been available for a number of years from Leica GeoSystems ( owned by Hexagon). Through their integration analytical product Cloudworx (which integrates into Mcrostation, Autocad, Revit etc), through their cloud fast access product called Jetstream, and through web based app called Truview Global (which runs of anything). This represents the DAAS and the SAAS buzzwords that excited the executive.
Essentially the revolution, that Pointerra espouses, has happened and passed by.
Pointerra is left with the marketing philosophy of Nearmap. Try and be a central warehouse for all the worlds Lidar data. Seriously, we are intelligent adults here! As with Nearmap, this is a philosophy which is both dated and inappropriate today.
