    Their move from a data aggregator to asset manager is relatively recent. That fund has only been going since July 2015. Note that on their site, all returns are quoted before fees. This is the biggest issue I have, their fee structure. It's looks high and unbalanced to me. Disclosure is poor. I'd say better options elsewhere. The main issue is whether you want an SMA or a managed fund because there will be different implications for tax and control. Personally, I'd not use this one without a hell of a lot more information about how they invest, who is the team, what is their stock selection and portfolio constructions process and what are their risk limits.

    There are managed funds in the same asset strategy (aussie equities, bit of cash) who are equaling Investsmarts pre-fee numbers on a post fee basis and who have much longer records through a range of market conditions. They also have much better transparency imo.
