As mentioned before, I got it wrong the first time with my assumption that the Fuji deal could interfere with apceth and vice versa. After thoroughly going through the announcements and reference materials I could gather from there websites I tried to summarise it all and asked Dr Ross Macdonald to confirm it:

Fuji/CDI however appears to use the Cymerus Technology to transform their engineered IPSCs with MCAs into MSCs which could give them the possibility of a broader product range I assume.
The announcement is however a bit vage, as it mainly talks about GvHD but then also mentions "certain rights to Cynata’s proprietary CymerusTM technology for the prevention and treatment of other diseases."
What other diseases could potentially covered (is that something that could be announced to the market)?

While apceth on the other hand appears to be modifying MSCs, utilising them the deliver cells, for example to target metastatic cancer.
apceth would therefore be able to replace the expensive bone marrow harvesting/screening etc. procedure to get autologous MSCs with allogeneic MSCs which can be efficiently, consistently and economically produced for their products, such as Agenmestencel-T.

Yes, you have got the story pretty right. We have in fact quarantined the apceth field of interest from the Fujifilm deal. The nature of the additional rights under the Fuji deal will be broadly disclosed when we close the deal.
