What that means if the same broker is on the buy & sell side of a transaction, they can cross them & offer mid-pricing to the clients or keep it for themselves.
For Example - you're saying you are with AOT. Lets assume the current bid/offer was 0.061 / 0.062.
If you wanted to buy 100k units @ 0.062 & the trade was matched with a seller also using the broker AOT, they could cross the trade at 0.0615 (i.e the mid-point between the 6.1c & 6.2c spread)
Now, whether the broker gives you that benefit or keeps it for additional brokerage is up to the broker.
