Your first sentence contradicts the third sentence. First you say climate change has been happening for billions of years but then declare climate records are too short to know if climate change is happening.
Here is a couple of simple questions.
1. Is CO2 an ingredient in the Earth's climate systems?
2. Have humans altered the quantity of CO2?
If you answer two YES then you have conceded humans can alter climate.
