IoT will never make it as an Apple standard, because they make it too hard for other players to work with them on an equal basis.

Nor will it be Samsung - they build great hardware, but they have created nothing new of their own - they are aggregators of technology by others (just look at their recent brawl with Apple over patent infringements). This shows in their achievement thus far with IoT.

Google have tried, but they overcomplicated it and it got too messy for them. Huge diverse teams rarely produce great results.

To be successful, XPED are doing exactly the right thing - and they will stop the mess being created that will be IoT for years to come if they do succeed this way.

Fair enough but do you think INTEL also wants exclusivity and this is problematic for Xped?
